2015 Ford Mustang to feature a 2.3 L 4 Cylinder EcoBoost In the States & Europe

Earlier it was reprted by Edmunds that the 2015 Mustang would get a 2.3 l 4 Cyl EcoBoost engine only in Europe as the report indicated, later on Road & Track magazine confirmed that this engine will be available in the States as well and also it wouldn’t be the base engine.

Ford mentions thet the EcoBoost engine option remains a premium upgrade for many buyers as seen in the Fusion, Taurus & Explorer, that means with a V6 base engine capable of 300 plus hp the EcoBoost premium Upgrade should feature more power around 350 hp to justify more money paid for the ditched 2 cylinders.

Hopefully, the upgraded engine lineup in the ’15 Stang will bring paddle-shift automatics as well.
