In a Green World anything can happen and expected, the huge gas burning loud sounded monster trucks can even change to a silent car crushing machines, Odyssey Battery and Bigfoot have teamed up to create what they are claiming to be the world’s first electric monster truck.
Powered by 36 Odyssey batteries, the monster truck has an electric motor that develops 350 hp (261 kW) and 850 lb-ft (1,151 Nm) of torque. While it’s disappointing that BIGFOOT now sounds like a Power Wheels BIGFOOT, one onlooker said “I’ve been going to monster truck shows for years, and I’ve never actually heard the cars get crushed under the tires. This thing is just unreal!”
Besides having an electric powertrain, the #20 BIGFOOT is equipped with heavy-duty ZF planetary axles, a ProFab transfer case and 25-inch steel wheels with 66-inch tall Firestone tires. The model has also switched back to a Ford body after briefly using a Chevrolet body in 2010.
